The palette is all heat and intensity, deep crimson and scarlet giving way to bursts of orange and yellow at the top, with fuchsia and magenta pushing through the center. Below, darker earth tones ground the piece, creating the sense of a landscape looking up at something enormous happening in the sky above it. Touches of metallic catch the light and shift depending on how you look at it.
This piece was made with presence, breath, and complete surrender to what the paint wanted to do.
