Each piece begins with intention and ends in surrender - wet pigment pulled through water, color blooming across paper in ways that can never be replicated. These are one-of-a-kind mixed media works, each one a unique moment captured in color.
Coral Fire has the quality of a sky that has fully committed to burning - no soft edges, no apology, just color doing exactly what it wants.
Coral and deep magenta move through this piece in bold, layered waves, with hot red burning through the center where the energy is most concentrated. Gold threads through the layers like light caught in moving water, and luminous white passages create breathing room between the heat. Deep burgundy runs through the lower layers adding weight and shadow, while cool gray at the top edge keeps the whole thing from tipping into chaos.

Force of Nature has the quality of a living landscape caught in full expression, the kind of scene that reminds you how alive the world actually is when you stop and pay attention to it.
Emerald and deep teal move through this piece with real authority, sweeping through the composition in bold organic forms that feel rooted and expansive at the same time. Warm gold runs through the layers like light breaking through a forest canopy, and soft gray and white open throughout like mist lifting off water in the early morning. Dark branching forms reach across the upper portion of the piece like the arms of an ancient tree, grounding all that movement with a sense of something deeply established.

Mystique has the quality of that deep interior space you drop into during meditation, when the colors behind your eyes go rich and luminous and something in you recognizes it as home.
Royal blue and deep blue-violet move through this piece in full, layered waves, with warm gold erupting through the darkness like inner light breaking through. Soft lavender opens throughout like breath, and flashes of teal appear in the upper portion like a window into something beyond. Dark indigo pools through the composition adding depth and mystery, drawing the eye inward rather than across.

Each canvas begins with a single word chosen in meditation, painted over and over into the under-layer, infusing the piece with its energy before a single brushstroke of color is laid down. What emerges from that foundation is something that could only have come through in that specific moment, in that specific state of presence.
My Journey
Hi, I’m Jennifer Flanders, and my journey with art didn't begin because I wanted to be an artist. It began because I was searching for peace, for presence, and for a way back to myself. What I found in the art studio was more than I ever expected.
Before every painting begins, I clear the space, call in the energy, and create the conditions for something sacred to emerge.
