How We Begin
Commissioning a piece with me is an act of trust in the process, trust in the energy that moves through it, and trust in what arrives when control is released.
I allow paint to flow through water; I allow gravity to pull color down the canvas; I allow the paints to move, and I resist the urge to step in and control them. What arrives is not accidental. It’s the natural result of surrendering to the moment.
When you commission a piece, you bring the intention for your space, the colors you're drawn to, the mood you want to live with, and how you want to feel when you walk into that room. I hold your intention throughout the creative process. The final composition, the movement, and the layering are not predetermined. What arrives is what arrives, and in my experience, it’s always exactly what it needs to be.
Works on Canvas
A canvas commission is a single, large-scale original piece created specifically for your space. Before the first layer of paint arrives, your chosen word or intention is painted directly onto the canvas, repeated until the surface holds it. It becomes the foundation of everything built on top of it — present in the finished work even when it can no longer be seen.
Canvas commissions are available in a range of sizes, including oversized and diptych formats. Pricing is based on scale and will be discussed during our initial conversation.
Works on Paper
A works on paper commission is an opportunity to create something entirely your own, a curated grouping of pieces in a palette chosen for your space and designed to be installed together as a collection. This is how my work lives best in a home, and a bespoke set made specifically for your walls is something no one else will ever have.
Works on paper commissions are available in a range of sizes and can be created as pairs, trios, or larger groupings. Pricing is based on scale and number of pieces, and will be discussed during our initial conversation.
