This is not a quiet painting. Magenta and fuchsia surge through deep purple and gold in layers that built on each other as the paint moved across the paper - blooming, pooling, finding its own edges, doing exactly what it wanted. There’s a wildness in this piece that I couldn't have engineered if I tried. The outcome is a reminder of what happens when I allow the paint to work its magic without manipulation.
