Home carries its intention in its foundation, the word painted into the canvas before the upper layers arrived, not as decoration but as energy. My belief is that what goes into a painting at its root becomes part of what it brings into the world. This piece was made to bring the feeling of home into whatever space it lands in.
Warm gold, copper and bronze move through this piece as the dominant force, not as accent colors but as a luminous filter that everything else is seen through. Beneath that metallic veil, blush and peach, coral and orange, olive and sage, and deep plum and chocolate brown build in horizontal bands, each color transformed by what sits on top of it. The vertical drip lines running through the composition create a grid that holds all of that warmth in place, giving the piece a structure that feels both architectural and completely organic at the same time.
This piece was made with presence, breath, and complete surrender to what the paint wanted to do.
