Personal Development

$1,500.00
sold out

In January of 2025 I instituted Personal Development Fridays, a standing date with myself that begins, without exception, in my studio. Music on, cacao in hand, the whole morning ahead of me. I dance around as much as I paint on these days, and the energy that pours through that room becomes part of everything I make and carries into the rest of my weekend. I emerge from these mornings a softer, more alive version of myself, and frankly everyone around me feels the difference.

This piece was born in one of those mornings, and I named it Personal Development as an ode to the most nourishing ritual I have ever claimed for myself.

This piece has a whole other painting living underneath it, a lush wild garden in greens, pinks and blues that I made first, then buried under rivers of copper, bronze and silver thrown freely across the surface with no plan for where they'd go. They went where they wanted, and the garden never fully surrendered. It's still there if you look, color and life pressing up through the layers, refusing to disappear completely.

**Please note: This piece contains quite a bit of metallic paint that beautifully catches the light ,and may also make the colors appear differently in the light in your own home than in the photographs here.

Medium: Acrylic on canvas

Dimensions: 40" H x 30" W x 1.5" D

This piece is sold unframed. The sides of the canvas are painted and finished, making it ready to hang as is. Wire hanging hardware will be attached before shipping.

If you would like assistance with framing recommendations or sourcing, feel free to reach out before purchasing.
