Sandstone is one of the quietest pieces in my collection, and one of the most grounding.
Warm cream, soft blush and taupe move through this piece in gentle organic layers, with russet and burnt sienna appearing throughout like veins of warm earth caught in sedimentary stone. Touches of soft teal appear in the upper portion like sky reflected in still water. The palette is restrained but the texture tells a different story - layered, complex, and alive with the kind of depth that only reveals itself when you stay with it.
This piece was made with presence, breath, and complete surrender to what the paint wanted to do.
