The Offering has the quality of something laid on an altar - rich, intentional, and glowing from within.
Deep violet and warm lavender move through this piece in full, generous waves, with gold threading through every layer like light that has been there from the beginning. Tangerine and burnt orange burn beneath the surface in the detail, giving the piece a heat that the eye doesn't catch immediately but the body does. Dark umber pools through the center like shadow at the base of a flame, and soft blush and cream open the piece up wherever the color needs to breathe.
This piece was made with presence, breath, and complete surrender to what the paint wanted to do.
